Time Tools
Time tools deal with durations and moments rather than calendar dates. A countdown tells you how long remains until an event; the time converter turns seconds into hours, days and weeks and back.
Where time of day matters, the tools use real elapsed time. A countdown that crosses a daylight saving change counts the actual hours that pass, not the difference between two clock readings.

Which tool do you need?
- How long until an event? The countdown shows days, hours, minutes and seconds remaining.
- How many hours is 4,500 seconds? The time converter handles seconds, minutes, hours, days and weeks.
Good to know
For time differences between places, use the Time Zone Tools.
A day in the time converter is exactly 24 hours and a week exactly 7 days. Months and years are not offered because their length varies; use Date Difference for those.
