Use of the site

DateUtils is free to use for personal and business purposes. You may not use the site to break the law, to attempt to disrupt or overload it, or to scrape it in a way that harms its operation. Linking to any page is welcome.

Results are for information only

The calculators aim to be accurate and their calculation code is tested, but results are provided for general information. They are not legal, financial, tax, medical or other professional advice and they are not certified for any official purpose. Where a result matters, for example for a contract deadline, a legal limit, payroll, a visa or an insurance claim, confirm it with the relevant authority or a qualified professional, and check that the conventions used here (for example whether a start date counts) match the ones that apply to you.

Conventions and limits

Each tool explains how it counts. In general, dates use the Gregorian calendar for all years, business-day results depend on the working days and holidays you supply, and time zone results depend on the time zone data in your browser, which can differ from official announcements if rules change at short notice.

No warranty

The site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DateUtils and its operator are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or its results. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text and code are protected by copyright. You may use the results of the calculators freely. You may not copy the site's content wholesale and republish it as your own.
